=== Final Years === James Williamson died in 1869 in Cache Valley at the age of 51, survived by his wife, Mary, and children. Mary died in 1889 at the age of 70. The headstones of James Williamson and his namesake son each proudly note that they were pioneers to Utah in 1851 and to Cache County in 1859. <br>
